Thank You!!!

Last weekend, I received the worst news anyone could possiblely imagine.  The paramedics called me and left a message "Your husband has been in a serious bike accident."  My heart literally sunk and tears began rolling from my eyes.  It was one of my worst fears come to life.  Being over 3,000 miles from home, I felt totally helpless.

My husband was traveling down a steep hill and lost control of his bike when he hit a crack in his path.  This caused him to fly over the handlebars and land on the right side of his head and shoulder.  The fall was so great he did not remember much from the accident.  Luckily for him, he managed to only have a fractured cheekbone, and several scrapes/cuts.

I just want to express my GRATITUDE for everyone involved.

- To that wonderful person who called 911 and waited by my husband's side until the paramedics arrived.
-To the wonderful nurses at the hospital that took a moment out of their day to make him as comfortable as possible.
-To the wonderful paramedics/doctors for doing what you do best.
-To the wonderful friends we have that made this experience less difficult....from feeding the cat to bringing    things to the hospital.
-To the Chamitas/Puchungi for being there physically when all you need is a hug or a grab bag of Cheetos.

This picture was taken 3 weeks ago.  The hubby is on a speedy road to recovery.  He is currently receiving medical attention at home with lots of baked goods, sweets, and a diet of soft foods (ice cream included).
